My cat has developed a bald spot about the size of a quarter. There is a red scab that has appeared on the skin. I thought she may have scrapped herself, but I am not sure what to think of it.

Make sure it's not ringworm!

I agree...it sounds like ringworm. This is a fungus that spreads very easily. Also, you can catch ringworm from your cat. It is easy to treat ringworm in humans, but it can be a bit of a chore in animals, so get to your vet right away so you can get medication before it spreads!

Good luck and welcome to the Cat Forum! I hope you visit often.
