Tonight my town had a pet memorial vigil. There were only a few people there, but it helped to talk about our pets who are gone. I came home and found myself sobbing uncontrollably over Kitty, when I thought I had cried all the tears I had for her. All I want to do is go back in time to when she was alive. It's so hard to accept that I will never see her again. When does this go away?

How nice that there was a vigil. It is such a thoughtful thing for the city to do.

I wish I could tell you that the pain fades quickly. Unfortunately, it takes a while for the hurt to subside. It hasn't been very long since Kitty passed on. Give it more time and make yourself remember the good times with her.

((((((hugs))))))

Hi Xena,

That pain you are feeling, really doesn't go away. We learn to cope with it a little better each day.

I have many pets who have crossed over. One thing I had to do each time was to go to the shelter and adopt another pet. I find it keeps your mind off your sadness and what more can we ask for, than that unconditional love of a pet.

I would adopt as soon as possible.

Thanks- I miss Kitty every day, but I have adopted a new little kitten, who is the sweetest thing! I love her, but will never forget my Kitty.

Hi Xena,

I am so happy that you adopted a new kitten.

I am sure the kitten will give you all the unconditional love that it has to give.

God Bless you and your kitten.

HI Xena!

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I just lost my best friend of 21 years on August 3. If you need someone to talk and relate to, feel free to PM me anytime.
