Another list is circulating this petition to ban a book by Aphrodite Jones which states that the breed of dog was the reason the Diane Whipple was mauled. Many believe that these dogs were mistreated and trained to attack by the owner, a convicted murderer, and his two adoptive parents, attorneys with a kinky lifestyle. I don't understand people?

The only reason that book was written was in the name of money not for any other reason and they didn't stop to think of the ramifications!

On another subject but with the same breed... I don't know if any of you ever watch Animal Plant, but they have a show called "Animal Cops" on it. I will never be the same again after watching the show on Wed. night. The investigators were called to a dog fight. When they went into the house they found one dog with it's mouth taped shut bleeding so bad that they had to carry it out. Why do people do this kind of thing, what is fun in watching that, what are they like in the head?

Volunteering at the THS I see pits and staffs all of the time and they are all truly lovely dogs, just wanting to be loved and afforded some attention.

Why do people have to propogate the fear of them, why do people assume that because they are inately bred for bull bating that they enjoy fighting and being eaten alive.

It made me so upset I actually started crying.

People need their heads checked!
