Does your pup or dog get into playful trouble?

Why not share your doggie stories with your fellow dog owners?

Okay- since I asked the question I thought maybe I should answer it!

All right- well, Wimbly is always getting into something- I think the worst is the roll of toilet paper! I always have to close off the bathroom when I'm not around or he'll go in there and grab the roll right off the rack. And he won't just chew it! He has to shred it all over my living room floor in small tiny little pieces that takes me quite a while to pick up!!

He also does this with his stuffed toys!

I posted yesterday but what happened to my post???

I related about Kazie who is one of my dogs who sleeps crated at night. Well, if I forget to clip her door she escapes during the night and pulls all the plugs out. So far she's not gotten hurt, but when she is first out the other dogs who are crated bark at her and then they all go back to sleep. Cute but trouble.

At the risk of sounding smug, my dogs don't get into trouble, they know better.

However, my number one gal is used to going everywhere with me. If for some reason I don't take her, I inevitably come home to find all my shoes piled on my bed where she has slept with them, waiting for me to come back.

We had to lock the doggy door and start walking the dogs because of mud! We live in the middle of nowhere on the river, and my golden retriever would go out to potty and come back in with no trouble at our old home. But since we have moved here, she keeps jumping in the river. She will go out to potty at night and then wake me up be jumping on my bed WET!! I feel bad because the other dogs cannot use the door either now, and they do not like midnight swims.

My parents are taking care of my mothers parents and sometimes I take over so they can get away.

One weekend when I was grandparent-sitting my dads springer spaniel was particularily noisy. For the first two nights he would get up and pace the floor at 4am until he would wake up my sheltie puppy and I would have to take her out. Then he would race pellmell down the stairs, knocking everyone out of the way until the whole household was awake (I slept upstairs with four of my dogs and all five of my parents dogs). On the last night I was there, I got a crate and was going to lock him up but wanted to let the dogs out late so they wouldn't disturb Grandma and Grandpa early in the morning.

At 11pm I let the dogs out one by one and retrieved the spaniel from the bedroom last. I figured I had worked it all out so he would be quiet. I was wrong. Near the bottom of the stairs but off to the side my mother had stacked some plant pots. At the last moment Cricket stopped and shoved his head in behind them toppling the stack and again waking the whole house.

Early the next morning Cricket started to cry, it was his "I'm so desperate if you don't let me out right now I'm going to pee myself" cry.

Quietly I let all the dogs down the stairs one by one until the only dog left was Cricket. I had removed everything from the stair case. There was no way he could make any noise other than his own footfall. That was when it happened, the ninny tripped and FELL DOWN THE STAIRS!! He could never have made more noise if he tried.

For one split second I was furious, but then I burst out laughing. It makes me think of that saying "Nothing is foolproof - to a talented fool"
