Cool Fish Compatibility question?

Hi everyone, I just purchased an 85-gallon aquarium and a eheim professional II filter and am in the process of buying the rocks and hiding places and stuff and wanted to know the compatibility of the fish I intend to purchase.

Fire Eel
Tire Track Eel
Hammers Blue Lobster
Datnoid
2-Algae Eaters
Clam
Yellow Cichlid
Red Discuss
Leopard Ctenopoma

I wasn't sure if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks reading

Sounds like quite an assortment! I'm not an expert, but it just seems like a weird mix. I would think that the eels may want to chomp at the algae eaters and the lobster would bug the clam...but that's just an opinion. Good luck!

Alright, the algae eater may or may not be aggressive. I know Chinese ones are considered aggressive. However, I've had two generic kinds from the pet store and they have bothered no one. One thing you gotta watch out for is that they may suck the other fishes' mucus off if they don't have enough food but I never had that problem.

Fire eels seem to only get aggressive with OTHER fire eels as they get older, but they seem to do fine with other community fish.

I've never had a tire eel, but I asked a man at a pet store about eels and he told me the tire ones are sort of territorial and aggressive. Maybe steer clear of one of those?

Hammer Blue Lobster is sort of aggressive and will chase your fish around, but it shouldn't do any real damage.

Datnoids aren't aggressive. Don't place them in a tank with other aggressive fish though. Bad idea.

A simple clam should be fine. Just check and make sure none of what you're getting likes to munch on clams.

THE YELLOW CICHLID IS AGGRESSIVE. I had one and it ate some of my fish overnight. OVERNIGHT. I had to get rid of it. I'd suggest to steer clear of this fish, as pretty as it is.

Not sure on the red discuss. Ask your local pet store about them.

The Leopards are semi-aggressive. They are most aggressive with other leopards.

I hoped I helped you out! Good luck setting up the tank!!
