Hello: I posted on the doctor page but no one has responded so I am going to try here... I have a Betta who's alone in a 5 gallon tank with a power filter and a heater. He along with my community tank got ick last week and I treated all of them with Aquasole and salt and have been since last Friday. The ick is gone and the community tank looks okay and I've stopped treating that one. I have continued with the Aquasole with the Betta because three days ago he appears to now have a small white cotton looking area near what we would call our sternum. My question is this--the Aquasole doesn't seem to be working for this but states it treats ick, body fungus, etc. It was recommended by Betta Talk and my fish store but I have been treating with it for over a week now--isn't that long enough for a medicine? The temp. is 78-80 degrees now and the Ick is gone but now they seems to be a small fungus infection. So do I switch to Jungle Fungus Elimator? If so, do I need to do a H20 change? I did a 25 % yesterday. Will this medicine interact badly with the Aquarsole I have been using? The Jungle Fungus Elimator states to treat again in four days after the first treatment. Does this sound right? I don't want to overmedicate my fish. Any help would be appreciated. This is my favorite fish. Thank you. |

The jungle Elim works well, I have used it, you have to do a water change before add more Bring you water temp to 85 degress, Ick cannot live in water temp over 80. Good luck. Brent |
