Hello everybody. I am looking for a good spawning plant for my pearl gouramis. I know that Riccia is considered to be the best, but I don't like the way it gets stuck among my other plants - the tank looks messy. Any other suggestions? I thought of letting my Fontinalis float.

You may want to try to attach some java moss to pieces of cork or styrofoam and float those in your tank. ------------------ Joe Hackman Moderator - Freshwater Fish Forum My Tropical Fish Page |

You might want to give Ceratopterus (water sprite), Limnobium (frogbit) or Ceratophyllum (hornwort) some consideration. Any of these will do as a spawning site for your gouramis. ------------------ Frank M. Greco Professional Aquarist |
