Hi Brad

I am using 4x96w Power Compacts on a 48x24x24 tank. I started with 2
5000k bulb and 2 6700k bulbs. You want to stay with the lower k (kelvin) numbers because they give you full spectrum (daylight) I recently removed one 5000k and replaced it with a 10000k( little bluer) and like the balance better

The usual rule of thumb is 2-3 watts per gallon for faster growth, but many common plants like Java Fern, Rotalia, Bacopa and Water Sprite will be fine with 1 watt per gallon

I know Tek made plant lights(3000k), do they make reef lights (6500k-20000k), If so when we they be available
