Nyssa gets i aint sure of the name of the food.. but it looks like rainbow pieces of food and seeds and pellets.. but we have been thinking about switching her cause she is always throwing what she don't like out on the rugs.... any suggestions?

Psittacines by nature or for that matter probably all birds exhibit what we consider wasteful behavior. It is perfectly normal for them to dig through their food, drop their seeds and pellets and throw them around all over the place. But this is what they were created to do, to propagate forests, to move and transport seeds and plants. So no matter what you feed them, they will make a mess. Most of them do eat their pellets, but their is no evidence of how much they really ate because their is no shell left as their is from the hulled seeds. Feed them a well balanced diet and get one of the no mess feed cups. Super Pets International makes great ones.

My african grey loves Pretty Bird and also gets fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and some seeds.

She eats some of her pellets dry and makes a big ritual out of dunking and eating them also which gets me to give her fresh water several times a day.
