A bird can be a great companion always happy to see you and a heck of a lot easier to care for than a dog or a cat!! I grew up around birds my whole life and could not imagine not having them around me. They are truly one of the best pets you can have!

Honestly, I'm not keen to own birds. I think it was because my gran had a budgie when I was young. It was out of the cage sometimes and allowed to fly around the room and came too close for my liking. I had this fear of my hair getting caught in its feet and it getting tangled in my hair. LOL, sounds daft when I say that now. But I was only small.
