Hi, My bassett hound recently had to go to the vet with his ears. He was shaking his head and his ears were twitching. The Dr. said he had a yeast infection in his ears. He has had this before. She said she didn't know why they were twitching. She gave him some prednisone to take for a week. After finishing the prednisone his ears started back twitching again. They had stopped for a few days. He seems very uncomfotable. She said something about that it could be inflammation of the nerve endings in his ears. What do you think it could be? Thanks, Carolyn |

My first thought was a yeast infection, but if the vet says it isn't, then I trust her. Maybe your dog needs to have his ears cleaned really good. Here's instructions on how to: Basset Hound Ear Cleaning |
