| Ok- we'll this is quite an "out there" topic but I wanted to know if anyone here does homeopathy for their families or pets? I give Wimbly a detox formula that I got from a homeopath. It's great to get the toxins out of the body. I also use arnica- it's nature's natural aspirin. This helps to relieve trauma and any hurt muscles, etc. It's great to give before and after an operation- when Wimbly was neutered (at 1 year and 2 months old) he quickly jumped back due to his homeopathic remedies (and his diet!LOL). The vets were quite amazed- it usually takes a while longer for an "older" dog to come to after an operation. I have some nosodes for his rabies- I don't vaccinate Wimbly- he had his puppy shots and that's it for him except for the rabies- and even these I do titers instead. The nosodes I give before and after the rabies- just to ease off on the "side-effects." I don't do heartworm- it's not a problem where we are- but I do test for heartworm once a year just in case. | Nath my vet practices holistically so my cats have always been treated with a combination of conventional and homiopathic, herbal etc remedies. I quite prefer the non-conventional way, it is not only easier on my pocket, but it is easier on the cats as it is simply helping their own bodies to heal itself! My vet does accupuncture, accupressure, chiro, reiki, physio, herbals, homiopathic, everything you can think of they do it. It was funny when I was having accupuncture on my hip the other day I mentioned to my physio (who does the accu) that my cat Billy had, had accu when he had his liver problems and she was so amazed she said she was going to look into it and see if she could do something like that on the side. My RMT is also trained in Canine massage! I think it is wonderful that so many people out there are realizing that if it works for humans it can work on the physiology of all species! Except I have to tell you my cats don't really appreciate the benefits of massage! Leslie-Ann, Moderator, Cats, Feral Cats & Herbal Remedies. |
